SOLD…….Tunbridge Ware- a good quality small round pot. c 1840A small round Tunbridge Ware bead pot of waisted form decorated with a panel of transverse stickware. The pot has a screw on lid and is in good condition with its original varnished finish. c1840 NB. No losses but there is some slight movement of the inlay on the lid as can be seen when it is held at an angle. 4. 5 cm in diameter 1. 75 inches Stock no. KD28

Measuring a tiny 3 x 1 cm

It is stamped CH for Charles Horner

In excellent condition- no damage to the bone

Four are in excellent condition but the largest shows lighter areas where the backing has separated from the glass

Another small wooden barrel with painted stripes in red and black

Inside there is a pencil inscription 'Harry Collins Bill Book 1891'

The image of the King came from a painting by William Beechey 1753-1839

Base diameter 2 inches

Knitting sticks or 'third hands' were worn at the waist to support a knitting needle

The advert measures 16 x 9

The lid is decorated in enameled shades of white with a child amongst foliage and the sides in white enamel with a simple leaf and line

A 19th century carved needle case opening at one end for needles and bodkins
