Feather GyotakuA simple feather collected from my garden which is full of wildlife including red squirrels, rabbits, pheasants and hedge hogs. I've always loved printing feathers they make a very effective print and are popular amongst my clients. This one is printed on Chinese Xuan paper and the backing paper is Japanese Masa paper. Okay I'll be honest

The print is made using the finest quality Acrylic ink mainly gold so it has a slight shimmer to it

The original print was scanned using an A1 scanner to create a file

The prints measure 69cm x34cm approx and are on a Chinese mulberry calligraphy paper

I use a very soft wide goat hair brush and can take all the creases and air bubbles out from the paper so it's completely flat
